Maybe the last truly symmetric war on a wide scale has been World War 1. This war has seen two sides opposing each other in a very similar state of mind with the same technologies.
The photographs here have been taken from German and Entente books and depict the view of both sides on the same conflict. I find the similarities quite astonishing.
